Open source to start. Pay when agents move real money.
The guardrail, the MCP server and this console are MIT-licensed and free to self-host with your own keys. The hosted service charges for decisions: one payment an agent asked SafePay to judge. A decision is what costs us money (a live-web lookup and two model calls when it is not cached; a policy block costs nothing), so the price follows the cost, and you always know what a month will cost before it ends.
Launch pricing These are the prices for the first teams, onboarded by hand; they hold for them for the first year. Everything without a Soon mark works today in the open-source release and in this demo; marked items are on the roadmap and are not billed until they ship.

Platforms and payment providers
Agent platforms and PSPs embed SafePay so every agent on them pays through the same firewall: white-label console, per-tenant policies, the chain anchored to a public ledger for independent verification Soon, a dedicated model deployment. Priced on volume, by contract. Support: a named engineer, 24/7 incident response and a custom service agreement.
Services
- Onboarding: your policy written with you, the integration in front of your agent, the vendor directory built from your payables. Two weeks, USD 2,500, credited against a year of Business.
- Agent payment audit: our attack benchmark, extended to your agent and your PayPal flows (injected invoices, lookalike vendors, inflated amounts, drains), with a report and the fixes. USD 4,000.
Why the numbers hold
| Cost per decision (measured) | USD | Basis |
|---|---|---|
| Live-web lookup (Tavily, 1 search) | 0.005 to 0.008 | Tavily plan or pay-as-you-go rate; 90% of the variable cost |
| Two Nemotron calls (merchant judgment, intent) | 0.0006 | measured: about 770 input and 200 output tokens per call at USD 0.30 and 0.90 per million on Nebius |
| A payment that passes policy (full checks) | 0.0056 to 0.0086 | one search plus two model calls |
| A payment blocked by policy | 0 | no model call, no search |
| A repeated payment (same payee and task) | 0 | served from the 24-hour check cache |
| Blended, measured on 37 decisions | 0.0032 to 0.0048 | the 7 demo scenarios and the 30 benchmark payments, no cache |
At full use Team costs us USD 32 to 86 in web and model calls (gross margin 42% in the worst case, every payment new and checked at pay-as-you-go rates; about 70% at the measured mix). For comparison, card fraud screening is sold at about USD 0.05 per screened transaction. Prices are our launch proposal for the hosted service; the first teams are onboarded by hand and shape them. Payment volume is never taxed: you pay for the judgment, not a percentage of the money, and PayPal's own fees stay on your PayPal account.
